About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Welder with expertise in MIG and TIG welding to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding stainless steel tubing, interpreting blueprints, and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and mild carbon steel
  • Weld large components such as tunnel frames and leg frames, some up to 8–10 feet in size
  • Fabricate using fixtures and freehand techniques
  • Weld square and round tubing (2–3” diameter, 2–4’ length or longer), including:
  • Tube-to-tube
  • Tube-to-gusset
  • Tube with end caps
  • Execute welds in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions (no overhead)
  • Work with fillet and groove weld joints
  • Interpret blueprints (imperial/inch format) and WPS; follow verbal instructions
  • Determine sequence of assembly based on prints and best practices
  • Maintain high standards of weld appearance and quality — parts are not painted post-weld
  • Operate 5-ton overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts for material handling and positioning
  • Participate in a hands-on weld qualification test on day one using scrap materials

    Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding, especially on stainless steel and stainless tubing
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
  • Strong fabrication skills including layout, fitting, tacking, and welding
  • Comfortable working with large weldments and using material handling equipment
  • Capable of working independently and retaining verbal instructions and tribal knowledge
  • Critical thinking skills and adaptability in a non-standardized, evolving environment

    Pay and Benefits

  • Pay: $42/hour
  • Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half

  • Per diem ($45/day)
  • Flexibility to take time off between assignments
  • Ability to perform tasks with little to no supervision
  • Ability to travel and commit to assignments ranging from 3 months to 1 year
  • Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, including overtime for the duration of the assignment (50+ hours/week)
  • Must meet drug test requirements
