FlexTrades is hiring Swiss Machinists for nationwide project-based assignments supporting high-precision, tight-tolerance manufacturing environments. This role is built for machinists who understand Swiss-style CNC machines, can manage frequent setups, and maintain consistent quality in low-volume, high-mix production.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC machines
- Perform frequent setups and changeovers in a high-mix environment
- Operate one or more machines during a shift based on workflow demands
- Follow blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions
- Inspect parts to ensure all quality requirements are met
- Complete inspection and production documentation accurately
- Perform basic machine care and maintain a clean work area
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- Direct experience setting up and operating Swiss-style CNC machines
- Experience working in a low-volume, high-mix machining environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and production documentation
- Background producing precision parts in a quality-driven environment
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
- Proven attention to detail and ability to document inspection results accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with manual honing or secondary precision finishing processes
- Experience working across multiple CNC platforms including lathe, mill, and grinder
- Background in regulated, medical, aerospace, or similar quality-focused industries
- Willingness to cross-train and rotate between equipment as needed
- Experience performing basic machine care and routine upkeep
