PTH Machine Operator
FlexTrades is hiring experienced PTH Machine Operators for nationwide project-based manufacturing assignments supporting printed circuit board assembly and electronics production.
This role is designed for candidates with hands-on through-hole soldering experience who can assemble electronic components, inspect solder joints and follow detailed production documentation while maintaining strict quality standards.
Position Overview
The PTH Machine Operator will perform through-hole soldering and electronic assembly work on printed circuit boards.
This position requires experience with hand soldering, PCB assemblies and quality inspection, including work involving Class 2 and Class 3 circuit boards. Operators must also be comfortable navigating electronic work instructions and production systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards
- Hand solder electronic components to required quality standards
- Assemble and install components according to work instructions
- Inspect solder joints for quality and accuracy
- Inspect completed electronic assemblies
- Work with Class 2 circuit boards
- Work with Class 3 circuit boards
- Use microscopes and other inspection tools as needed
- Follow detailed assembly documentation
- Follow established production procedures
- Navigate electronic work instructions and production systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Consistently produce high-quality work in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Experience with through-hole soldering
- Experience hand soldering electronic components
- Active or expired IPC-A-610 certification
- Active or expired J-STD-001 certification
- Experience working with Class 2 circuit boards
- Comfortable working with Class 3 circuit boards
- Experience working with printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with SMT assemblies
