Maintenance Electrical
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Maintenance Electrical professionals for nationwide project-based assignments supporting manufacturing equipment, automation systems and industrial maintenance operations.
This role is designed for electrical maintenance technicians who can troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, diagnose AC and DC electrical systems and support preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance in demanding manufacturing environments.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Electrical professional will troubleshoot and repair electrical and automated production equipment while supporting equipment reliability and plant maintenance activities.
This position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, PLC experience and the ability to work from schematics, drawings and technical documentation when diagnosing equipment and automation issues.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose problems with automated production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance activities
- Perform predictive maintenance
- Complete reactive maintenance and equipment repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics
- Read engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot AC electrical systems
- Troubleshoot DC electrical systems
- Support maintenance projects
- Assist with equipment installations and system upgrades
- Inspect equipment and identify potential reliability issues
- Troubleshoot sensors
- Diagnose encoder issues
- Troubleshoot photo eyes and other automation components
- Document maintenance activities and work orders
- Enter required information into SAP or CMMS systems
- Follow established safety procedures
- Work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Understanding of AC electrical systems
- Understanding of DC electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting automated equipment
- Knowledge of pressure instrumentation
- Knowledge of temperature instrumentation
- Knowledge of flow instrumentation
- Knowledge of level instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Siemens PLC experience
- Allen-Bradley PLC experience
- SAP or CMMS experience
- Heavy industrial maintenance experience
- Steel mill experience
- Pipe mill experience
- Aluminum extrusion experience
