CNC Machinist
FlexTrades is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for nationwide project-based assignments supporting precision manufacturing operations.
This opportunity is designed for machinists with multi-axis CNC experience, strong blueprint and GD&T knowledge, and the ability to set up, operate and adjust vertical machining centers producing tight-tolerance aluminum components.
Position Overview
The CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers to produce precision aluminum components according to print specifications.
This role requires experience with 4-axis or greater CNC machining, machine offsets, first article inspections, in-process quality checks and precision measurement.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers
- Machine precision aluminum components to print specifications
- Perform machine offsets and process adjustments as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Interpret and apply GD&T requirements
- Complete first article inspections
- Perform in-process quality checks
- Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring equipment
- Deburr parts as required during the machining process
- Produce complex parts with multiple features
- Maintain tight dimensional tolerances
- Follow work instructions
- Follow tooling information and job documentation
- Maintain quality standards
- Maintain safety and production standards
Qualifications
- Experience with 4-axis or greater CNC machining
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills
- Ability to perform machine offsets and adjustments
- Blueprint reading experience
- Knowledge and application of GD&T
- Experience performing quality inspections
- Experience performing precision measurements
- Experience machining precision components with tight tolerances
- Fanuc controller experience accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- Okuma machining center experience
- Okuma controller experience
