Machine Shop Fabricator

FlexTrades is hiring Machine Shop Fabricators for nationwide project-based assignments supporting metal fabrication and discrete manufacturing operations. This role is built for fabricators who understand forming, bending, and secondary operations, and can work from prints to produce accurate parts without constant oversight.
If you have brake press experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and can move between fabrication tasks while maintaining quality, this opportunity aligns with your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake presses, roll forming and bending machines, saws, presses, and drills
- Perform secondary operations including swaging, trimming, flattening, crimping, and cutting
- Read and follow blueprints, bills of materials, and work instructions
- Measure and inspect parts using tape measures to 1/32 inch and calipers
- Safely handle and move materials using jibs, hoists, and overhead cranes
Qualifications
- Metal fabrication experience required in a discrete manufacturing environment
- Brake press experience required
- Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
- Comfortable working with fractions, decimals, and tape measurements
- Experience working with pipe and tubing
