Electrical Assembler
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Electrical Assemblers for nationwide project-based assignments supporting electrical installation, wiring and equipment assembly in manufacturing environments.
This role is designed for professionals who can read electrical schematics, route and terminate wiring, install electrical components and troubleshoot completed systems using standard electrical test equipment.
Position Overview
The Electrical Assembler will install wiring, cables, harnesses, sensors, lighting and other electrical components as part of custom equipment builds and assembly projects.
This position requires strong electrical assembly skills, the ability to work from technical drawings and wiring diagrams, and hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and route electrical wiring
- Install cables and wiring harnesses
- Install lights, sensors and electrical components
- Read and interpret electrical schematics
- Read wiring diagrams and technical drawings
- Cut and strip electrical wiring
- Crimp and terminate wiring assemblies
- Connect completed wiring assemblies
- Mount electrical components
- Complete required electrical connections
- Perform continuity checks
- Conduct electrical testing using multimeters
- Troubleshoot wiring issues
- Diagnose electrical system problems
- Install breaker panels
- Install electrical outlets
- Install low-voltage electrical systems
- Install 120V electrical systems
- Determine appropriate wire routing and layout for custom assemblies
- Drill holes and perform basic assembly work as required
- Follow established quality standards
- Follow all safety and workmanship requirements
Qualifications
- Experience performing electrical assembly or wiring in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Ability to read wiring diagrams
- Experience routing and installing electrical wiring
- Experience installing cables and harnesses
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Proficiency with power tools
- Experience using electrical testing equipment
- Experience using multimeters for testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to cut, strip, crimp and terminate wiring
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose electrical faults
- Ability to work from custom drawings and changing specifications
- Comfortable working on ladders
- Comfortable working around large assembled equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Soldering experience
