Pipefitter
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Pipefitters for nationwide project-based assignments supporting industrial piping, fabrication and equipment assembly operations.
This role is designed for skilled tradespeople who can read piping drawings, lay out components, fit and assemble pipe systems, and maintain dimensional accuracy throughout the fabrication process.
Position Overview
The Pipefitter will measure, cut, fit and assemble pipe and tubing systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
This position requires strong blueprint-reading skills, hands-on fabrication experience and the ability to install valves, fittings, flanges and related piping components while maintaining established quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Read piping drawings and specifications
- Measure pipe and tubing
- Cut and fit piping components
- Assemble pipe and tubing systems
- Lay out piping components according to engineering drawings
- Install valves
- Install fittings and flanges
- Fit and prepare pipe for welding
- Prepare piping systems for final assembly
- Verify dimensions and alignments using measuring tools
- Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process
- Use hand tools safely
- Operate power tools and fabrication equipment
- Assist with equipment assembly and installation as required
- Follow all established safety procedures
- Maintain required quality standards
Qualifications
- Experience fitting and assembling industrial piping systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with pipe layout and fabrication
- Knowledge of piping components
- Knowledge of fittings and flanges
- Ability to use measuring and layout tools
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work with fractional measurements
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience using power tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding experience
- Crane or material handling experience
