Assembler
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Assemblers for nationwide project-based assignments supporting mechanical equipment builds and industrial manufacturing operations.
This role is designed for professionals with hands-on mechanical assembly experience who can read complex drawings, work from bills of materials and complete full equipment builds using a variety of hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
Position Overview
The Assembler will build industrial furnace systems by installing mechanical components, hardware and related equipment according to drawings and available direction.
This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience working from prints and the ability to determine assembly sequences while maintaining established quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components into industrial furnace systems
- Install fans, doors, pumps and motors
- Install gears, brackets, chains and related hardware
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Work from bills of materials
- Determine assembly sequences using drawings and available direction
- Complete full equipment builds
- Document completed work on prints
- Use hand tools safely
- Operate pneumatic tools
- Use hydraulic tools as required
- Operate lift-assist equipment when needed
- Work in and around large equipment structures
- Maintain established quality standards
- Follow all required safety procedures
Qualifications
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read complex mechanical drawings
- Experience working from prints and bills of materials
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Proficiency with power tools
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working at heights when required
- Comfortable bending, kneeling and crouching
