Manufacturing Technician
FlexTrades is hiring Manufacturing Technicians for nationwide project-based assignments supporting product assembly, quality inspection, packaging and production operations.
This role is designed for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who are comfortable using hand tools and power tools, following detailed assembly instructions and maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Technician will assemble custom products and subassemblies using established work instructions, photo guides and assembly processes.
This position also involves component verification, quality inspection, packaging and material handling while supporting daily production goals.
Responsibilities
- Assemble custom products and subassemblies according to work instructions
- Use impact drills, drivers, hammers and other hand tools to secure components
- Follow printed instructions and photo guides
- Follow established assembly processes
- Verify correct parts and components before beginning assembly
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and proper fit
- Check assemblies for alignment, damage and missing hardware
- Complete pre-shipment quality inspections
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Package finished products
- Prepare completed products for shipment
- Assemble and pack wood display cases and related products
- Use lifting devices, pallet jacks and material handling equipment safely
- Support daily production goals while maintaining established quality standards
Qualifications
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow written work instructions and assembly procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience performing visual quality inspections
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience
- Experience working in a production environment
- Packaging experience
- Material handling experience
