CMM Operator
FlexTrades is hiring CMM Operators for project-based assignments supporting precision inspection and quality control operations. This role is built for experienced inspection professionals who can set up and operate CMM equipment, review reports and verify tight-tolerance machined parts against drawings and GD&T requirements.

Position Overview
CMM Operators will perform first piece and full inspections of machined parts, operate CMM equipment, review inspection reports and conduct manual inspections using precision gauges and tools. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with tight tolerances and the ability to communicate non-conformances clearly with machinists and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform first piece and full inspections of machined parts
- Set up and operate CMM equipment
- Review CMM inspection reports
- Conduct manual inspections using precision gauges and tools
- Inspect features including holes, threads and wall thickness to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret 2D drawings and GD&T to complete inspections
- Document non-conformances
- Communicate inspection issues with machinists
Qualifications
- Strong CMM setup, operation and report analysis experience required
- Ability to read 2D prints and GD&T required, including true position and profile
- Experience using precision inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers and gauges
- Ability to work with tight tolerances, including ±0.0005”
- Experience with CMM Manager required for 2nd shift
- Aerospace and AS9102 experience preferred
