ProtoTRAK Operator
FlexTrades is hiring ProtoTRAK Operators for project-based assignments supporting high-volume production operations. This role is built for machinists who can set up and run TRAK CNC lathes, follow routers, inspect parts, hold tight tolerances, and keep production moving without losing focus on quality.
If you have CNC lathe setup experience and know your way around prints, micrometers, and fast changeovers, this opportunity is a strong fit.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate TRAK CNC lathes with 2-axis ProtoTRAK controls
- Perform quick changeovers including jaws, clamps, and occasional spindle changes
- Read blueprints and follow routers
- Inspect parts using micrometers and maintain tight tolerances
- Keep production on pace and make minor program adjustments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support and train team members as needed
Qualifications
- CNC lathe setup experience required
- Ability to read prints and understand basic GD&T
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Comfortable with repetitive, high-volume work
Nice to Have
- TRAK or ProtoTRAK experience
- Fiber material experience is not required
- Metal machining backgrounds welcome
