Swiss Machinist
FlexTrades is hiring Swiss Machinists for project-based assignments supporting high-precision CNC machining operations. This role is built for machinists who can manage setups independently, maintain tight tolerances, and keep production moving in high-mix, low-volume environments.
If you are comfortable running Swiss CNC equipment, making machine adjustments, and inspecting precision parts without constant oversight, this is your lane.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 6-axis Tsugami Swiss CNC machines with Fanuc controls
- Run production on dedicated machines while making basic offset and tool adjustments
- Hold tight tolerances, including ±0.001 inch requirements
- Follow setup sheets, blueprints, and work instructions during machining operations
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related precision measurement tools
- Review CMM reports when required to verify dimensional accuracy
- Perform deburring and part cleaning operations
- Move materials safely using overhead cranes and carts
- Support production in a high-mix, low-volume machining environment
Qualifications
- Experience operating Swiss CNC machines, with Tsugami experience preferred
- Familiarity with Fanuc controllers
- Strong setup and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&T fundamentals
- Experience using common inspection and measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
