Swiss Machinist
FlexTrades is hiring CNC Swiss Machinists for nationwide project-based assignments supporting high-precision, tight-tolerance manufacturing environments. This role is built for machinists who can handle frequent changeovers, work with complex parts, and maintain accuracy in low-volume production settings.
If you have strong setup experience on Swiss machines and can manage offsets, adjustments, and part quality with confidence, this is your lane.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines, primarily Star and Hanwha
- Perform frequent changeovers in low-volume production environments
- Make tool offsets, adjustments, and minor program edits as needed
- Follow prints, setup sheets, routers, and work instructions
- Inspect parts using standard precision tools and document results
- Perform routine machine maintenance and safely load bar stock
Qualifications
- CNC Swiss machining experience required; Star or Hanwha experience preferred
- Strong multi-axis Swiss lathe setup capability
- Ability to read and interpret prints in both inch and metric measurements
- Skilled in making offsets and performing basic program edits
- Experience machining stainless steel and titanium
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-changeover production environment
