Blow Mold Process Technician
FlexTrades is hiring Blow Mold Process Technicians for nationwide project-based assignments supporting high-volume plastics manufacturing operations. This role is built for technicians who understand extrusion blow molding, can troubleshoot process issues in real time, and know how to keep production moving without sacrificing quality.
If you have hands-on experience with intermittent extrusion blow molding machines and can manage setups, adjustments, and process control from start to finish, this role fits your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and validate operations on intermittent extrusion blow molding machines
- Work with Graham, Sterling, and Milacron machines
- Validate machine setups prior to production runs
- Follow paper process sheets for parameters and cycle times
- Adjust machine settings within allowed ranges to correct quality or material issues
- Pull samples and coordinate with the quality lab on results
- Troubleshoot process issues and perform root cause analysis
- Oversee the full blow molding process from start-up through finished part
- Operate forklifts or cranes as required (training provided)
- Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO when required
- Meet production goals and communicate issues when targets are not met
Qualifications
- Experience with intermittent extrusion blow molding required; actuator head experience preferred
- Ability to read and work from paper-based process documentation
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to blow molding equipment and quality issues
- Ability to adjust process parameters using HMI systems
- Strong commitment to safety and proper LOTO practices
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Forklift or crane experience is a plus (training provided)
