CNC Programmer
FlexTrades is hiring CNC Programmers for project-based assignments supporting precision machining and advanced manufacturing operations. This role is built for programmers who understand the realities of the shop floor, can troubleshoot problems at the machine, and know how to turn complex prints into efficient, repeatable machining processes.
If you are comfortable programming multi-axis equipment, proving out programs, and working directly with machinists to solve production challenges, this is your lane.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines offline using Mastercam
- Write, edit, and optimize G & M code for Fanuc and Haas controls
- Support CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis machining centers, including 4-axis and 5-axis equipment
- Prove out programs at the machine and collaborate closely with operators during setup and production
- Troubleshoot machining issues, program errors, and process inefficiencies
- Create setup sheets and support first article inspections
- Program complex precision parts with tight tolerances and demanding quality standards
Qualifications
- Experience with Mastercam and CNC programming required
- Strong understanding of G & M code programming
- Multi-axis machining experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
- Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium
- Hands-on mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Quality-focused approach with attention to precision and repeatability
