Multi-Axis Machinist
FlexTrades is hiring Multi-Axis Machinists for nationwide project-based assignments supporting advanced CNC machining and precision manufacturing environments. This role is built for machinists who can handle complex setups, work across multiple machine platforms, and maintain tight tolerances on high-value components.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate advanced CNC machines including horizontal mills, multi-turret lathes, and 5-axis mill-turn machines
- Follow part drawings, GD&T callouts, setup sheets, and inspection checklists to produce accurate parts
- Change tools, verify offsets, and monitor tool life to maintain efficient machine operation
- Measure parts throughout production using micrometers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools
- Safely handle materials and components, including use of overhead cranes when required
- Run one or multiple machines simultaneously depending on cycle times and production workflow
Qualifications
- Direct experience operating multi-axis CNC equipment or similar advanced machining platforms
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings and GD&T requirements
- Comfortable using precision measurement tools to maintain tight tolerances
- Experience performing machine adjustments, tool changes, and offset verification
- Experience machining a variety of materials including aluminum and stainless steel
- Willingness to learn crane operation and follow safe material handling practices
