Tube Bender
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Tube Benders to support projects across the United States. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, tackle complex setups, and contribute directly to the success of aerospace and manufacturing operations nationwide.
Position Overview
As a Tube Bender with FlexTrades, you will set up and operate automated hydraulic tube benders, perform precision inspections, and deliver high-quality parts that meet or exceed specifications. This role is ideal for skilled professionals who thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy variety in daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automated hydraulic tube benders (HORN and BLM preferred)
- Perform changeovers including mandrels, wiper dies, clamp dies, and pressure dies
- Conduct First Piece Inspection (FPI) and First Article Inspection (FAI) for each setup
- Bend round, heat-treated copper tubes to specified and off-angles
- Interpret and work from blueprints and 3D model images with minimal written instructions
- Retain verbal instructions and tribal knowledge for repeat setups
- Operate overhead cranes safely when required
Qualifications
- Proven experience with automated hydraulic tube bending equipment
- Familiarity with HMI controllers and retrofitted machine controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Comfortable with frequent setups and small lot production
- Experience using quality inspection tools and techniques
- Willingness to assist with tube cutting and prep tasks as needed
