As a FlexTrades Polisher, you’ll support manufacturers across the United States by helping prepare machined components for final inspection and production while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
Position Overview
The Polisher is responsible for operating buffing, polishing, and grinding equipment to improve the finish and quality of machined metal parts. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow work instructions while maintaining production and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate buffing, polishing, and grinding equipment
- Remove rough edges, burrs, and surface imperfections from machined metal parts
- Follow work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
- Inspect finished parts for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of polishing equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Meet established safety, quality, and production standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or metal finishing experience preferred
- Experience with polishing, buffing, grinding, or deburring is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a team
