Maintenance Technician

Location: Nationwide – Possible Jobs in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana

FlexTrades is hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians for project-based roles supporting plastics manufacturing operations across the United States. If you have a background in injection molding and automated assembly systems and enjoy troubleshooting complex machinery in a fast-paced environment, we want to connect with you.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastics manufacturing (injection molding preferred; blown film, extrusion, blow molding acceptable)
• Familiarity with machines that include a screw and barrel
• Exposure to automated, high-speed production environments
• Basic understanding of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens); Ladder Logic experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills without reliance on PLC access

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive maintenance and preventive maintenance (PMs) on a variety of manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines (Husky, Toshiba, Arburg, Demag/Van Dorn, Engel; 200–400t range) and automated assembly machinery (Mikron, Tecmes)
• Work with components including VFDs, proximity sensors, pneumatic grippers, solenoid blocks, servo valves, hydraulic cylinders, encoders, and linear bearings
• Handle electrical systems ranging from 480V 3-phase to 24V
• Use CMMS for work orders and equipment documentation
