Machine Operator
FlexTrades is hiring Machine Operators for nationwide project-based assignments supporting manufacturing, processing and warehouse operations.
This role is designed for dependable production professionals who can follow written procedures, monitor equipment, complete accurate documentation and maintain quality and safety standards throughout each shift.
Position Overview
The Machine Operator starts, stops and monitors processing equipment while supporting finished product handling, quality checks and production documentation.
This position also operates gravity tables, collects product samples, performs routine equipment inspections and uses a sit-down forklift to move and store finished products.
Responsibilities
- Follow written work instructions and operating procedures
- Start, stop and monitor processing equipment
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance or operating concerns
- Operate gravity tables and make basic equipment adjustments
- Fill, tag and track finished tote bags
- Collect product samples and deliver them to the laboratory
- Complete production logs and quality documentation
- Perform routine quality checks
- Complete metal detector testing
- Operate a sit-down forklift to move and store finished products
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow established safety procedures around machinery and equipment
- Support other departments as needed during seasonal operations
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to complete paperwork and production records accurately
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to work safely around machinery and processing equipment
- Reliable attendance
- Strong work ethic
