Gear Machine Operator

FlexTrades is hiring skilled Gear Machinists for nationwide, project-based assignments supporting advanced gear manufacturing operations. If you know your way around CNC gear shapers or hobbers and you take pride in precision work, you will fit right in here. This role centers on producing high-quality gear components, running multiple machines, and maintaining accuracy in a fast-moving environment where details matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC gear machining equipment to produce high-quality parts
• Perform setups and monitor multiple machines during production
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow SOPs, routers, setup sheets, and inch-based blueprints
• Handle materials and operate lifting equipment as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience with CNC gear shapers and/or hobbers
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with large parts and precision tolerances
• Large part handling experience preferred
• Must provide your own basic tools
