CNC Swiss Operator
Location: Nationwide – Possible Jobs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia
FlexTrades is hiring experienced CNC Swiss Operators for precision machining assignments across the United States. This is a travel-based opportunity to run high-performance Swiss-style CNC machines in a high-mix, high-precision environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a CNC Swiss Operator to join our precision machining team. You’ll be responsible for running multiple Swiss-style CNC machines in a high-mix, high-precision environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience operating Swiss CNC machines (Ganesh and Maier preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T
- Familiarity with 316 stainless steel and bronze materials
- Comfortable working with lot sizes around 2,500 and bar stock of 9/16” or 7/8”
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Key Responsibilities
- Operate up to three CNC Swiss machines simultaneously (machines are near each other but not in a cell)
- Perform simple offsets and monitor machine performance
- Read and interpret standard and metric blueprints (conversion not required)
- Maintain production tolerances between .002” – .005”
- Perform operator-level maintenance and assist with preventive maintenance tasks
