Solder Technician
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Solder Technicians for nationwide assignments supporting advanced electronics manufacturing projects. Key Responsibilities
- Perform rework on multi-layer PCBs (3–6 layers), including removing, flipping, or adding components (resistors, diodes, etc.)
- Hand solder new boards when rework is complete
- Operate SMT equipment at the operator level (setup/teardown if qualified)
- Work with both through-hole and surface mount soldering techniques
- Use lead and lead-free soldering methods
- Follow provided rework procedures, schematics, BOMs, and visual references
Qualifications
- Strong PCB rework experience required
- Familiarity with J-STD-001 standards (certification preferred but not required)
- Experience with AOI or SMT operation is preferred
- Ability to identify and read small components and markings (vision test required)
- Must have strong rework experience and skills
- Must pass a hands-on soldering test (includes through-hole and surface mount)
