CNC Milling Machinist
FlexTrades is hiring CNC Milling Machinists for nationwide project-based assignments supporting high-precision manufacturing in medical device and advanced machining environments. This role is built for machinists who can handle complex setups, operate multi-axis milling equipment, and consistently hold tight tolerances on critical components.
If you have strong 5-axis milling experience and can independently run jobs from print through inspection, this opportunity aligns with your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Machine stainless steel parts for medical devices from raw or pre-machined components
- Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and inspection documentation to run jobs independently
- Perform first article inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and required surface finishes throughout production
- Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool wear as needed to maintain part quality
- Perform deburring operations as required to meet final specifications
Qualifications
- Experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines required
- Proficiency with Heidenhain or Siemens controls
- Strong understanding of GD&T and inspection methods
- Experience with Renishaw probing preferred
- Ability to read prints and perform complete setups independently
