Position Summary

As a Harness Assembler with FlexTrades, you will assemble wire harnesses for a wide range of applications using technical drawings, wire diagrams, and ERP-based work instructions. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on both simple and highly complex builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Build wire harnesses on form boards, standing throughout the duration of each build
• Work with various wire gauges including 16, 20, 22, and 26 AWG
• Crimp connectors and perform UT welding as required
• Assemble harnesses ranging from simple 20-minute builds to complex 80-hour assemblies
• Use digital reference materials including wire diagrams, BOMs, and electronic work orders
• Navigate ERP systems to access data packages and follow electronic instructions
• Perform peer inspections and traceability checks to support quality assurance
• Use tools such as crimpers, splicers, cutters, torque tools, and basic hand tools
• Support electro-mechanical assembly of harnesses into larger systems on-site
• Communicate with materials teams when kits are incomplete or additional items are needed
• Install harnesses using proper torque and fastening procedures

Certification Requirements

• IPC 620 Certification is required
• Active certification is preferred
• Expired certification is accepted with required participation in on-site recertification training
