Swiss CNC Machinist

FlexTrades is hiring experienced Swiss CNC Machinists for project-based assignments supporting precision manufacturing operations across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-precision machinery, perform complex setups, and apply your expertise in both standard and metric machining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines with G-code controls and bar feeders
- Perform changeovers and make offsets/adjustments as needed
- Modify G-code lines to accommodate oversized stock and optimize performance
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) and First Piece Inspections (FPIs)
- Use belt sanders for deburring and polishing production parts
- Maintain high standards of quality using calipers, ring gauges, thread gauges, and pin gauges
- Read and interpret both standard and metric prints; basic GD&T knowledge required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC Swiss machining and setup
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and G-code
- Familiarity with FAIs/FPIs and quality control processes
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with oversized bar stock
- Willingness to work collaboratively and share knowledge
- Experience with 5-axis machines and bar feeders preferred
