Rework Test Technician (Aircraft Experience)
FlexTrades is hiring Rework Test Technicians with aircraft experience for nationwide project-based assignments supporting high precision interior rework, structural bonding, and advanced aerospace component testing. This role is built for technicians who understand aircraft cabinetry, bonding processes, reconfiguration work, and the level of craftsmanship required in aviation environments. Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Perform reconfiguration and rework of aircraft interiors and furniture
- Work with products that have narrow widths requiring the ability to fit hand, wrist, and elbow into an eight inch width
- Use glues, adhesives, and various compounds to assemble cabinetry structures
- Add finishing touches including handles, latches, hinges, door mechanisms, lighting, decorative features, paint touch ups, and more
- Use rivet guns, pneumatic tools, bandsaws, and other aviation hand tools
- Work with aluminum, honeycomb composites, and phenolic materials
- Understand how to mix adhesives, inject and apply adhesive, and index parts and panels correctly
- Experience working with parts under compaction and handling surface prep requirements for bonding specifications
- Apply adhesive evenly and within required thickness tolerances to ensure proper structural bond
- Must be confident reading prints, measuring accurately, and using hand tools
- Strong communication skills required
- Understanding of AS9100 or FAA regulations is a plus
- Must be prepared to work with Engineering and FTEs, offering input for testing, continuous improvement, and fixture design or build suggestions
