NDI Technician (Level II)
FlexTrades is hiring NDI Level II Technicians for nationwide project-based assignments supporting advanced inspection operations across aerospace and precision manufacturing environments. This role is built for technicians who understand ultrasonic testing principles, can evaluate complex components, and take pride in protecting product integrity through accurate inspection.
If you have Level II ultrasonic certification aligned with NAS 410 and experience inspecting composite or metallic materials, this opportunity aligns with your skill set.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic inspections on composite parts and other materials
- Use ultrasonic testing equipment following established internal procedures
- Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and electronic work instructions
- Record inspection results clearly and accurately in required documentation systems
- Apply training and technical judgment when detailed instructions are limited
- Complete required on-site classroom and hands-on training prior to production work
Qualifications
- Level II Ultrasonic Testing certification aligned with NAS 410
- Experience inspecting composite materials preferred; metallic inspection experience accepted with strong ultrasonic theory knowledge
- Ability to provide documentation of classroom hours, method hours, and total NDT hours
- Inactive certifications accepted with explanation of certification history and experience
- Background working under NAS 410 standards and general industry NDT standards
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and electronic inspection instructions
- Must pass a Jaeger 2 eye exam (corrective lenses allowed)
