HBM Machinist

FlexTrades is hiring experienced HBM Machinists for nationwide assignments supporting advanced precision machining operations. If you know your way around a horizontal boring mill and can keep complex setups running smooth, this role will feel like home. You will work with high end equipment, follow engineered processes, and support both production and new program verification.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a six axis CNC Horizontal Boring Mill with a three plus two configuration and rotary B axis table
• Perform offsets and adjustments with no program edits since programming is handled by engineers
• Assist programmers during new program verification
• Swap tooling from two to seven tools per setup and verify setups with a supervisor
• Deburr straight edges, ID and OD surfaces, holes, and other basic features using various tools
• Operate overhead crane and forklift for material handling with training provided
• Follow detailed setup sheets, work instructions, and inspection requirements
• Conduct in process inspections and document FAIs

Required Qualifications

• Five axis HBM machining experience
• Experience with Heidenhain controllers with Siemens acceptable
• Ability to make offsets and adjustments
• Proficient in deburring using various tools
• Basic understanding of GD and T including parallelism, perpendicularity, flatness, and surface profile
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, indicators, squares, and tape measures
