
Electro-Mechanical Assembler
FlexTrades is hiring experienced Electro-Mechanical Assemblers for nationwide project-based assignments supporting high-tech manufacturing operations. If you’re mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a hands-on production environment, this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities
- Assemble 1” diameter flexible hoses to barbs using custom fixtures
- Perform sub-assembly and final assembly tasks up to 160 times per day
- Conduct pressure and leak testing using nitrogen and non-toxic propylene glycol
- Operate manual and semi-automated test stands; navigate HMI screens to set and monitor test parameters
- Perform visual inspections, go/no-go gage checks, and escalate failures
- Use torque wrenches and standard hand tools
- May assist with basic electrical tasks including wire harness assembly and schematic reading
Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle 15–20 lb. assemblies repeatedly
- Comfortable with high-force, repetitive tasks
- Basic understanding of hydraulics (flow, pressure, psi) preferred
- Ability to work from training and physical examples (limited documentation)
- Willingness to rotate between mechanical assembly, electrical tasks, and testing as needed
- Strong attention to safety and detail while maintaining production pace
- Must be a self-starter comfortable in a dynamic, startup production environment
