Test Technician
FlexTrades is hiring Test Technicians for nationwide project-based assignments supporting electrical, mechanical, and HVAC system testing. This role is built for technicians who know how to verify performance, diagnose issues under pressure, and ensure complex equipment is ready for the field. If you enjoy hands-on testing work and take pride in accuracy, consistency, and problem solving, this is your lane.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-line testing on assembled units to verify functionality and quality
- Conduct electrical and mechanical checks, including insulation and wiring verification
- Complete system performance tests and record results accurately
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing
- Follow safety protocols when working with electrical systems and refrigerants
- Document all test data in company systems and maintain compliance with standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in industrial HVAC, electrical testing, or similar technical roles
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and test reports
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at heights
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Willingness to work overtime when required
Preferred
- Familiarity with chillers, pumps, fans, and industrial systems
- EPA 608 Universal certification for refrigerant handling is a plus
