Brake Press Operator
FlexTrades is looking for experienced Brake Press Operators to support high volume manufacturing environments across the United States. This role is built for operators who understand precision, move with urgency, and know how to read a blueprint without slowing down.
You will work with Amada HRB brake press machines and manage rapid setup cycles. If you know how to adjust programs on the fly, hold tight tolerances, and produce clean, consistent bends, this job fits.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, change over, and operate Amada HRB brake press machines
- Perform from 12 to 100 setups or changeovers per shift
- Work with galvanized and mild steel materials from 11g to 18g
- Make variable changes in programs to align with blueprint specifications
- Inspect each part for quality and maintain tolerances of plus or minus one degree on angles and plus or minus zero point zero three millimeters on flanges
- Reference internally engineered blueprints in both standard and metric units
- Operate spot welding machines and forklifts as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating brake press machinery, preferably Amada HRB models
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of metric and standard measurement systems
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple setups efficiently
